Hollywood actor Chris Evans set to read CBeebies Bedtime Story

The internet went into a bit of a meltdown during all of Tom Hardy's CBeebies Bedtime stories, so we can bet you'll be excited to hear that a new Hollywood actor is set to appear on the popular kids' show.

Yep, that's right: CBeebies' Bedtime Story will be graced by the presence of a bonafide superhero.

Captain America's Chris Evans (just to confirm that we didn't mean *the other* Chris Evans!) will no doubt set mums' hearts racing when he lends his A-list charm to a reading of Even Superheroes Have Bad Days by Shelly Becker and Eda Kaba.

Unsurprisingly, thrilled fans have already started posting their joy on Twitter:

'I'm honoured to be the next guest on CBeebies Bedtime Stories which is such a special show,' Evans said in a BBC release. 'I hope families have as much fun watching as I had reading!'

We're pretty sure they will, Chris!

As well as Tom Hardy, previous CBeebies Bedtime Story celebrity alumni include Damien Lewis, James McAvoy and David Tennant.
