Hollyoaks' Stephanie Waring unrecognisable as she undergoes huge hair transformation
Hollyoaks star Stephanie Waring has stunned her fans with a new look following a trip to the hairdresser. The actress, who played Cindy Cunningham in the soap, is usually seen with blonde hair, but after a visit to Carla Scott Hairdressing in Urmston, Greater Manchester, she emerged with brunette locks.
Stephanie posted a photo of her new look from the salon, commenting: “Another look I am playing with, it has been a few years since I have embraced my dark side.. kinda liking it!” Fans agreed, with one writing: “Looks absolutely lovely, you really suit it dark.” Another commented: “Love it!! You're enjoying being able to experiment with your look now there's no continuity filming issues to think about aren't you @stephwaring - & why the heck not?! Cindy will always be part of you...but it's your time now to re-discover yourself & have some fun! X”
Stephanie filmed her final scenes on Hollyoaks this summer, after appearing in the soap for 28 years. She also added another milestone to her diary – jetting off to the Maldives in July for a private wedding to her fiance Tom Thornton-Brookes. The couple revealed exclusively to OK! that they planned their ceremony in just four weeks.

Speaking from their villa at the five-star Maldives resort Ifuru Island during their honeymoon, Steph said: "I knew I wanted something small and had always liked the idea of getting married abroad. When I found out I was leaving Hollyoaks I was desperate to book a holiday after I finished filming."
“When we booked this holiday to the Maldives, Tom said, ‘Do you want to get married?’ and I just replied, ‘Yeah.’”
Earlier this year, Steph also announced a major career change. She left Hollyoaks after producers decided to reduce the number of cast members on the show, and has since trained in wellness at the Jay Shetty Life Coaching School.
In a post announcing her new career she said: “I love my job, I love my career, the profession I've been in since I was 18-years-old. I'm not leaving it, just let me say that, I'm not leaving it, I'm gonna carry on acting but I have other passions that I want to pursue.”
"So for about a month now, I have been studying to enter a new career, a new field in the wellness industry,” she added. "I have been accepted and enrolled into the Jay Shetty Certification Life Coaching school and honestly, it's changed my life. It is changing my life and it's something that I've wanted to do for a couple of years now but because I've been so busy working on Hollyoaks, I've not even thought that I could even do it.”
"So this is what I'm doing, it's incredible and I hope that I can help Jay change a billion lives. If I'm just a little tiny part of it, I want to be on that journey. I hope you all follow me on that journey."
