Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter has announced that she is pregnant.

The Channel 4 star, who got engaged last year to Ollie Piotrowski, revealed the exciting news on Instagram in an adorable video.

In the clip, Jorgie and her fiancé each removed their hands from covering a picture of their first baby scan.

The official account for Hollyoaks congratulated the couple on their own Instagram account, writing: "HUGE NEWS! We have a little, tiny new McQueen on the way! Our beautiful @themissyporter is pregnant! Congratulations all round, this is the best news ever!"

Jorgie's pals also rushed to comment on the news, with West End performer Samira Mighty replying to her post: "Yes yes yessssss xxxxxx."

Her co-star Kieron Richardson said: "The best news baby pio-ports," while Chelsee Healey and Jennifer Metcalfe also left messages.

It's been a tough journey to starting a family for Jorgie.

The actress tragically miscarried quadruplets last year, and opened up about her experience in November.

"I'd not had any sign that things weren't OK. No pain or bleeding, I was getting bigger, my boobs were growing, I had so much hair on my body and I still felt pregnant," she recalled to Fabulous magazine. "When the consultant performed the scan then said 'You've miscarried', I was in total shock."

Jorgie added: "Of course, I've shed tears [and] I've tried to come to terms with it by thinking 'They've never lived, I don't know them', but it took Ollie to say to me 'You held them in you for three months' to appreciate the power of those emotions.

"Men suffer during miscarriage too, and Ollie was so, so sad. By voicing his feelings, he got us through, because that encouraged me to speak about mine too."
