The full lowdown on Holly Willoughby's Celebrity Bear Hunt
It's set to be a stellar year for some of the best TV shows we've been treated to in ages, with plenty to come from Netflix. But one new celebrity competition, Celebrity Bear Hunt, has stood out as a must-watch if you've enjoyed I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! but think it could do with getting tougher on those famous (and not so famous) contestants.
The eight-part series, hosted by TV presenter Holly Willoughby, will star a group of celebrities who are put through their paces in the jungle by the one and only adventurer and former SAS trooper, Bear Grylls. We say 'put through their paces', but Netflix actually says hunted down, which frankly sounds terrifying.
Intrigued and ever so slightly alarmed? Here's everything we know so far about Celebrity Bear Hunt, including the release date, celebrity line-up and latest news...
What happens on Celebrity Bear Hunt?
It sounds to us like the celebrities will be launched into a real-life adaptation of The Hunger Games but each to their own! Netflix says: 'Holly Willoughby hosts this action-packed competition show that sees a group of unlikely British celebrities dropped into the Central American jungle as prey for one of the world's most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.
'Bear believes there’s an action hero inside us all - even the celebs - but how strong is their will to survive? As Bear puts them through their paces, those who fail to impress will face the dreaded ‘Bear Hunt’ – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they’ll be hunted down by Bear himself and, if captured, eliminated from the show.'
Celebrity Bear Hunt: Release date
Thankfully, we don't have to wait too long to get stuck into this new series. The eight-episode show will land on Netflix on Wednesday 5 February 2025.
Celebrity Bear Hunt: Cast

Celebrity Bear Hunt: Trailer
'I've done many wild things in my life, but I've never hunted celebrities,' growls Bear ominously in the trailer forCelebrity Bear Hunt. 'These celebrities won't come out of this experience the same.'
Host Holly, clearly feeling ever so slightly sorry for the unsuspecting celebrities taking part, adds, 'I don't think they knew what they were signing up for'.
If we weren't convinced to give this a watch before, we certainly are now...
