Holly Willoughby has interviewed a huge variety of guests during her time on This Morning., but today was an unusual experience even for her - a 14-and-a-half-stone Great Dane, slobbering all over the sofa.

Holly and Phillip Schofield had invited the World's Largest Dog Freddy on to the show, all seven foot of him, and Holly got straight to the question we all wanted answering - just how do you pick up after a dog that big?!

"When you take him out for a walk and he has the call of nature, do you have just bin liners" she asked.

"He won't go on the lead... he'll only go in the garden," his owner explained, but Holly wasn't deterred; she still wanted to know about that poop.

"And is that quite an epic clearing-up process?" she followed up.

"Not really," came the reply, "if it happens, you've got to bend down and pick it up anyway. But it's a two-handed job!"

Holly then confessed she and Phillip had been worried about having Freddy on their sofa, seeing as he's apparently eaten 26 of them in the past!

This Morning also issued tweets this morning from backstage showing Freddy's arrival on the sofa - as he stood up onto it and did that age-old ritual of walking around before settling into a comfy position:

There was also a rather sweet picture of Freddy enjoying a mid-morning snack on set:

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
