Hit Snooze Because You’ll Soon Be Able To Workout On The Bus To Work

Want to keep in shape? We know the drill. But finding time to fit in a workout can be tricky, unless you fancy hopping out of bed and straight onto the treadmill or ditching an after work pinot in the pub for a sweat session down the gym. Is it any wonder exercise often slips down the to-do list?

But one fitness company has come up with the dream solution, by switching the dead time on your morning commute with a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout. London-based 1Rebel has merged a spinning studio with a bus, so you can tick off your exercise goals while commuting to the office. Clever huh?

The 45-minute classes will cost £12-£15 and will travel the most popular commuter routes before arriving at the 1Rebel studio where spinners can grab a shower and smoothie before hotfooting it to the office. Genius.

Though it hasn’t had the complete sign off from the Government yet, the fitness brand is currently in talks with a number of bus companies and if approved could launch the new Ride2Rebel commute classes after the summer.

The genius idea is the brainchild of 1Rebel co-founders James Balfour and Giles Dean, co-founders of 1Rebel “It is an absolute no brainer for us that we can create more efficiency in people’s routines by transforming their commute,” explains James. “For those who want the components of a class, but perhaps don’t have the time to commit during the day, this provides a great solution for them to maximise time they would otherwise be spending just travelling to work.”
