A Hilltop St. Barts Villa Overlooking the Caribbean Sea Lists for $26.6 Million
Saint Barthélemy’s sun-soaked beaches and turquoise waters have made the tiny volcanic island a frequent vacation hotspot for globe-trotting A-listers like Jennifer Lopez and Jeff Bezos. In addition to the bikini-clad glitterati, the ritzy French West Indies retreat is known for its chic villas, one of which has recently hit the market for €24.5 million (or about $26.6 million).
Sitting high on a hilltop in Lurin, nestled midway between the seaside towns of Gustavia and St. Jean, the stately four-bedroom, four-bath spread known as Villa Never Say Never—no relation to Justin Bieber, but shout out—was designed by local architect Joannes Zingerle. According to a 2022 article published in Architectural Digest, Zingerle also built another home in St. Barts for automotive executive Oliver Bruss and his wife Kathrin, the founder of Hamburg-based fashion boutique Petra Teufel.

From its perch, the glamorous residence overlooks Gouverneur Beach and St. Jean Bay, as well as the island’s airport runway—famed for being one of the shortest and most dangerous in the world for planes to land. Outside, there are several terraces, the largest of which faces the sea and is fronted by a heated infinity pool. There’s also a large, covered dining area and plenty of sun loungers. “The villa is perfect for sunbathing, casual meals, or evening cocktails with family and friends,” notes the listing, which is jointly held by Guillaume de Corlieu of Corcoran St. Barth and Douglas J. Albert of Corcoran New York.
The abode’s airy interior spaces take their spare, clean-lined cues from the minimalist exterior with the use of natural materials such as concrete, wood, and stone. The central gathering space offers up interconnected living, dining, and kitchen areas that flow easily to the outdoors. Elsewhere, a second living area doubles as a cozy TV lounge for casual nights in, and, nearby, the primary suite sports an ensuite bath and a private terrace.
Last year, St. Barts clocked its priciest real estate deal to date when David Rockefeller’s former waterfront estate was snapped up by commodities trader Adam Sinn for $136 million. The 130-acre spread was built in the 1950s by architect Nelson Aldrich, and the transaction marked the most expensive home sale ever on the island.
