Hilary Duff gives birth to fourth child and reveals adorable name
Hilary Duff is now a mother of four! The 36 year old actress and her husband, Matthew Koma, welcomed their newest addition, a baby girl born via water birth on May 3.
The Disney Channel star shared the news on Instagram, introducing their daughter as Townes Meadow Bair and expressing joy over finally holding her in their arms after months of waiting.
Alongside an adorable pic of the newborn, taken moments after her birth, Hilary penned: "Townes Meadow Bair , now we know why she made us wait so long…She was perfecting those Cheeks!
"I have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months and the past 5 days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you has been pure moments of magic. We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty.”
Alongside their newborn, Hilary and Matthew are parents to daughters Banks, five, and Mae, two. Hilary also has an eldest son, Luca, 11, from her previous marriage to Mike Comrie.
Hilary shared on Instagram, via her family's Christmas card in December 2023, that she and Matthew were expecting their third child. The card featured a photo of the Lizzie Maguire star cradling her stomach, with the message, "So much for silent nights. Love, the Duff-Bair-Comrie Crew." The back confirmed the news, stating, "Buckle up Buttercups, we're adding one more to this crazy bunch!"
In a recent Instagram post, Hilary acknowledged the chaos of having four kids and expressed gratitude for her partner's support.
She wrote: wrote: "4 kids is a truly wild choice. And while you rage the farmers market with the kids after 4 nights of shows and late nights so I can get some sleep and not hear, 'Mom Mom Mama Mommy Mooooom,' just know this only works because of you.”
The actress has previously shared her love for the lively atmosphere in their home, as she told the fitness website Shape: "I love my loud household with mayhem and the craziness and all the love and all the dirt.
"I love [parenting] with my husband. I love feeling like hugs and cuddles can make everything better. I love the pressure of being like, 'How the f*** are we going to make it through this day?'"
"And making it through the day and being like, 'I don't know how everyone is tucked in and fed and happy after all the things we've had to do today.'"
In a more recent interview, Hilary told Women's Health how she feels about her body, being a mum of three, as she said: "I’m proud of my body.
"I’m proud that it’s produced three children for me. I’ve gotten to a place of being peaceful with the changes my body has gone through."
