Highlights from Bazaar’s 2025 International Women's Day dinner
On 6 March 2025, guests gathered in the elegant ballroom at Corinthia London for our seventh annual International Women’s Day dinner, held in partnership with the Caring Family Foundation, the luxury-jewellery brand Pomellato and the chauffeur service Blacklane.
The gala dinner brought together Bazaar Privé members, ticket-holders and friends of the brand to hear from a stellar cohort of inspirational cultural figureheads, who are each breaking boundaries in their respective fields, and appeared on stage for a series of interviews, panel talks and keynote speeches throughout the evening.

Harper’s Bazaar’s editor-in-chief Lydia Slater kicked off the evening by welcoming guests to the gala dinner.
Bazaar’s guest of honour Geri Halliwell-Horner gave a rousing address on what female empowerment means today.
Halliwell-Horner raised a glass to celebrate girl power.
Bazaar’s deputy editor Frances Hedges spoke to the actress Lucy Boynton about her new project A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story, a television miniseries about the last woman in Britain to be executed.
Guests also heard from the Marvel actress and Unicef ambassador Gemma Chan, who spoke with the humanitarian and Daughters for Earth co-founder Zainab Salbi about putting women front and centre in the fight to preserve our planet.
Their discussion was moderated by Bazaar’s acting commissioning editor Marie-Claire Chappet.
Bazaar’s features director Helena Lee introduced our final keynote speaker of the day.
Emma Barnett, the BBC Radio 4 Today programme presenter and the author of the forthcoming book Maternity Service, reflected on harnessing ambition to achieve success against the odds.
Lydia Slater drew the evening to a close.
