You'll probably already have everything you need to make a paper chain lying around your home, so it's a great craft to do on a budget. If you don't have glue dots, you could use a stapler instead to fasten the links on your chain. If you're using a stapler, make sure to oversee children.
We've used patterned paper for our paper chain, but you can use any paper you like to match the theme of your party.

How to make a paper chain
Step 1
Measure the width you'd like your paper chains to be with your ruler, and use this to draw strips onto your patterned paper.
Step 2
Cut out the strips and arrange them into colour/pattern piles.
Step 3
Take a strip of paper and make a ring, and glue it together with a glue dot. Link another strip of paper into the first, make that into a ring and glue down again.
Step 4
Repeat with as many strips as you'd like in your chain, then hang and enjoy!
