You can help design Celebrity's newest cruise ship. Here's how.

Celebrity Cruises is inviting guests to not only plan their next vacation but help design its newest ship.

The cruise line’s Xcel “Dream Makers” initiative will allow passengers to test out and vote on features aboard its newest ship, Celebrity Xcel. The vessel – the fifth in the line’s popular Edge Series – will set sail in November from Fort Lauderdale, operating seven-night cruises with stops including the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.

“We want to ensure our guests love our products and experiences, so involving them in the process to perfect Celebrity Xcel was a great way to achieve this,” Michael Scheiner, the line’s chief marketing and product officer, said in a news release. “Celebrity Cruises is known for ground-breaking innovation in ship design and experiences unlike any other at sea, when Xcel launches guests won’t have just found their happy place, they’ll have helped us build it.”

Celebrity Xcel will make its debut in November 2025.

Participants will take part in online polls and in-person events, getting a say in features ranging from the ship’s interior design to its dining concepts. They will help decide what food and drinks land on menus, weigh in on entertainment – including costumes and props – select table settings and more.

The program will launch on Feb. 8. There is no cost to register, and the initiative is open to all U.S., Canada (except Quebec), U.K., Australia and New Zealand residents 21 and up, according to Celebrity’s website.
