Harry Potter fans have reacted in shock after learning how much total screen time some of their favourite characters received over the course of the eight film adaptations.
According to a resurfaced rundown of the different characters’ total screen time on IMDb, the recurring antagonist tallied just 31 minutes on screen across the entire saga.
In fact, Felton only features on screen in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for one minute and 15 seconds.

"The fact Draco Malfoy was only in 31 minutes throughout the WHOLE of the Harry Potter franchise (19 hrs & 40 mins) jus doesn’t sit right with me" tweeted one fan.
“Tom Felton also had to dye his hair for 10 years, to only end up with 30 minutes of screen time. He and Draco deserved better,” wrote someone else.
“The rest of the time he was living in Harry’s head rent free,” one person joked.
“When are you guys going to accept that he’s a side character?” asked another reply.
Other surprising statistics include the fact that Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) featured in just 45 minutes and 45 seconds across all eight films, with over a third of that (16 minutes 30 seconds) coming in the very first entry.
Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) unsurprisingly clocked the most screen-time across the franchise, appearing on camera for nearly nine hours out of the total 19-hour-and-40-minute runtime.
Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) both featured for around three-and-a-half hours each, while Harry’s faithful owl Hedwig managed six minutes and 15 seconds.
It’s worth bearing in mind, however, that the figures on IMBb were obtained by a fan study, with timings rounded up to the closest 15 seconds.
The metric used is also unspecified – whether, for example, it takes into account scenes in which characters can be seen in among large crowds.
