Harlan Coben's new thriller 'The Innocent' is landing on Netflix next month

The creator behind hit Netflix series The Stranger is returning to the streamer with a brand new thriller called The Innocent, which follows a man named Mateo whose life is completely uprooted by a mysterious phone call about his past.

Here's everything we know about The Innocent.

What's The Innocent going to be about?

As you'll remember from The Stranger Coben's work tends to involve a lot of twists, turns and intrigue and by the looks of things The Innocent will be no different. The series follows a man called Mateo, who was imprisoned for homicide after he accidentally kills a man while trying to break up a fight. Nine years on, now happily married to wife Olivia, Mateo's life is turned upside down when he receives a mysterious phone call and is forced to try and prove his innocent all over again.

The series takes is all in Spanish (don't worry, there are subtitles) with Mario Casas starring as Mateo, Aura Garrido as Olivia, Alexandra Jiménez as Lorena Ortiz and Jose Coronado as Teo Aguilar.
