This Is 'The Handmaid's Tale' And 'You' TV Series Crossover We Didn't Know We Needed

You's Penn Badgley and The Handmaid's Tale's Madeline Brewer were spotted filming the fifth and final season of You in Central Park, therefore serving as the ultimate crossover we didn't know that we needed.

It's been a minute since Joe Goldberg and his psychotic ways were last on our screens. However, fans of the show won't have to wait too much longer to see what the serial killer has been up to as series finale is set to air later this year.

Although fans of The Handmaid's Tale will have to wait on a little longer for season six (the goings on in the harrowing dystopian world of Gilead won't reach our TV screens until 2025), Brewer's main role in You is keeping us entertained in the meantime.

Brewer is set to play the role of Bronte, a mysterious and daring playwright who starts working at Joe's new bookshop in London. We can only assume that this employment won't result in a positive outcome, as previously seen with the majority of Joe's love interests (think Love Quinn from the second season, and Guinevere Beck in season one) seeing their demise.

The pair were photographed on set while in Central Park and could be seen talking, smiling and laughing with one another during and between takes. Brewer wore a red plaid shirt on top of a grey vest top and paired it with blue wash jeans and brown boots. True to Joe's style, Badgley wore a pared back outfit which consisted of a dark blue shirt tucked into navy trousers.

In another scene, Badgley put on his infamous baseball cap that he commonly uses to stalk his next target, which can only suggest that he'll once again be up to no good in season five.

Elsewhere, Badgley stopped to take multiple pictures with fans of the show who were watching from afar.

One fan in particular wore a T-shirt which read 'Hello, You,' a famous line said by Goldberg before he typically begins a monologue while observing his current fixation.
