The model and daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin stepped out in a true statement piece, as she joined the stampede of celebrities responding to the recent New York Magazine cover story about children who have well-connected parents in their chosen field. The Rhode founder spoke through her fashion, wearing a cropped white baby tee that simply read "Nepo Baby."
She styled the top with a pair of light-wash boyfriend jeans, black lug-sole loafers, and a black Prada shoulder bag, elevating the look with a belt adorned with oversized gemstones. Her casual beauty look included a fresh-faced complexion and a dark nude lip.
The star was also spotted shopping with her friend Justine Skye later that day, where she traded the tee for a sheer crop top, and layered on a sleek leather blazer. Meanwhile, Skye wore a bright red co-ord comprised of an athleisure top and matching leggings.
Bieber, formerly Baldwin, faced criticism and accusations of nepotism when she first began her modelling career in the 2010s. Though she hasn't directly addressed her family connections, she did bring up the topic while interviewing Gwyneth Paltrow on her YouTube channel.
"As the child of somebody [established in Hollywood], you get access that other people don’t have, right? So the playing field is not level in that way," Paltrow said. "However, I really do feel that once your foot is in the door ― which you unfairly got in ― then you have to work almost twice as hard and be twice as good. Because people are ready to pull you down and say 'You don’t belong there' and 'You’re only there because of your dad, or your mom,' or whatever the case may be."
The model didn’t offer her own perspective, but she responded positively to the "Shakespeare in Love" actress' take. When the actress that rising children of celebrities shouldn't let other people's opinions have an impact on their decisions, Bieber said that she "needed to hear that today."
