H&M's £43 Chanel-style mini dress is sure to sell out fast
Knitted-dress season is officially underway again, but while we love this wardrobe staple for its cosiness, comfort and ease, it can take a while to find a style that also ticks the chic box. So, when our beady eyes landed on an H&M mini with major designer vibes, we added it straight to basket, especially as it's got 'sell out' written all over it.
The dress in question has only just landed in the high-street hero's new-in section, but given how much it reminds us of Chanel's classic styles, and the fact that it costs a mere £42.99, we don't expect it to hang around for long.
Cut for a fitted shape from a thick black knit, it features long sleeves and shiny gold buttons running all the way down the front. Contrasting white detailing at the collar, cuffs and decorative pockets gives it that designer feel for much, much less.
'Ladylike' silhouettes are trending this autumn/winter, most notably with the rise of the pencil skirt. Feminine shapes and texture clashes have been serving up a slice of glamorous girl power, as seen on the AW24 runways by Saint Laurent, Miu Miu and more – and we're very much on board.
For extra style points, team the above H&M knitted mini dress with pointed slingback heels or preppy heeled loafers – two of our trending shoes of the moment for elevating any look. Or, to balance out the girly, add a punkish edge with clompier boots. Keen for even more glam? Just add a faux-fur coat.
