It has been quite the week for 'naked' dressing. First Alex Scott wowed in a black lace gown, then Nicole Scherzinger stepped out in a semi-sheer number with a huge cut-out, and now Gwyneth Paltrow has given her own take on the style.

Sure, the trend has been around for quite a while now, and we've seen some daring outfits in that time. Namely from Florence Pugh, who first sparked it all the way back in July 2022 when she attended Valentino's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 22/23 fashion show in Rome braless and wearing a show-stopping transparent hot pink tulle gown.

Since, we've seen everyone from Kate Beckinsale, Jennifer Lopez, Jenna Dewan, Emma Watson, Rita Ora and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stun in their own 'naked' outfits. But back to Gwyneth, because this may just be her hottest look ever.

In a photoshoot for online magazine Bustle's Beauty Issue, the 51-year-old Goop founder can be seen posing in an red outfit consisting of a Gucci mesh bodysuit. Her see-through ensemble shows off the matching red Gucci mesh bra she has on underneath, as well as a nude low-rise thong. Strappy red patent heels finish things off a treat.

Gwynnie's latest look is stunning for many reasons but it's also super relevant, ticking off three of autumn's biggest trends. Replacing Barbiecore pink, red is now the hue of the moment – and wearing the shade head-to-toe à la Gwyneth is the preferred styling.

Next up, the exposed underwear look is showing no signs of slowing down – and when your bra is as pretty as this Gucci design, why would you hide it? Finally, as already mentioned, the entirely sheer fabrication taps in perfectly to 'naked' dressing.

Gwyneth's stylist for the shoot, Tiffany Reid, shared further images on Instagram that showcased some of the star's other looks. But it's safe to say the red Gucci number stole the show.

Clicking through to read the interview – done to promote her new affordable skincare line good.clean.goop – only made us love everything about this more. Ever inspiring, Gwyneth talks about the ageing process in her typically empowering way, revealing that she embraced turning 50 as a "deepening into" herself.

"I don't give a f**k what anyone says about me, thinks about me, this is who I am," she says, adding that she "never" compares herself to any other woman, of any age.

"I'm never going to be able to look like X, Y, and Z, especially as I become 50, 55, 60. So it’s like: how do I feel? How am I holding myself? Do I like myself? What is my anxiety level? Am I strong?"

From Pamela Anderson going make-up free to Paris Fashion Week, to Sarah Jessica Parker echoing Gwyneth's thoughts on ageing, we're very much here for high-profile women lifting us all up.
