Gwyneth Paltrow shows how to style a black coat day to night
Gwyneth Paltrow is all about the easy, luxurious life, and her wardrobe proves that. The actress left the warmth of Los Angeles for the colder climes of New York City this week to attend the Goop Beauty and Violet Grey holiday party at Chez Margaux, and did so wearing a timeless winter staple: the simple black coat.
The Monday night event was a well-attended affair, but Paltrow kept things low-key and elegant in some timeless staples. At the base, her outfit was composed of a slinky white cowl-neck blouse tucked into a dark blue denim maxi skirt. To keep warm, Paltrow then layered on a structured black double-breasted trench coat in a long, oversize silhouette, with black buttons. The coat hails from Paltrow’s very own G. Label by Goop, which she wore open, and finished her outfit with glossy black pointed-toe heels.

For a touch of quiet glamour, the actress added on a gold and diamond link chain necklace and several gold and diamond rings. She kept her make-up minimal and wore her icy blonde hair down in a sleek middle part.
Paltrow wore the same G. Label coat earlier in the day, during an outing with Saturday Night Live star Chloe Fineman. Then, the wellness maven styled it with a chunky cream knit jumper, sleek black nine-to-five trousers cinched with a black and gold belt, and black leather square-toe boots with sharp heels. Fineman matched her in an all-black fit and pointed leather boots.
