Gwyneth Paltrow poses fully naked and covered head-to-toe in gold body paint
When it comes to birthday milestones, some may celebrate with an extravagant birthday bash or perhaps treat themselves to a getaway. Personally, I like to keep it pretty lowkey. Then, there's celebrity birthdays. Beyoncé threw a huge party not so long ago, Kylie Jenner took to a big luxury yacht and Gwyneth Paltrow, well, she had other ideas. Instead of going down the – shall we say – 'traditional' route, in celebration of her 50th birthday, the wellness and beauty mogul posed completely naked whilst covered in head-to-toe body paint. You do you, girl.
The Goop founder posted a picture on Instagram for her 8.1 million followers and there's no denying that she looks great. Some may say that she's even ✨glowing✨. See what I did there? Soz.
As shown in the pic (below), Gwyneth is wearing nothing but gold body paint that starts at her head, running all the way down her body – it even creeps up into her face and hairline.

To complete the look, Gwyneth's makeup artist has added a touch of gold shadow onto the eyelid whilst keeping her face complexion coverage very minimal and topping it all off with a natural nude lip. To keep her body as the main focus, Gwyn's hair has been kept down but combed back with minimal product to sit behind her ears and shoulders.
Alongside the shoot, which was for Vogue, Gwyneth got candid, reflecting on her relationship between beauty, age and self-appreciation. "In our Western capitalistic culture, we have conflated youth and beauty and we have very little outside of that margin to explore," she said. "Maybe it’s because I have wrinkles and I’m almost 50 years old, but I’ve really recalibrated the way that I look at that stuff.
"I don’t relate to a 26-year-old model. I don’t want her life. I don’t want her face. I don’t want her experience. I’ve earned my life. I’ve earned my wrinkles," she adds. "I have been through so many highs and lows, and there’s a sweetness that starts to emerge from that, from having lived, from being wise, from being humble, from loving and losing and all of this stuff."
