Gwyneth Paltrow gives herself the gift of self love in her latest Goop advert: a vibrator.

The 47-year-old entrepreneur shared a video with her 6.7 million followers on Instagram, offering advice on how to prepare a Goop-style Christmas – including trying on different outfits, wrapping presents and making cocktails.

In the footage, a voiceover begins: “The holiday are here, and because they never turn out the way you imagine, you must cherish the joy of getting ready”.

It advises: “First, put on a record” and “do everything in slow motion”.

As Paltrow carries two glasses containing Martini cocktails, the voiceover says: “Someone’s double fisting, and damn she’s earned it.”

Later on, the footage shows Paltrow putting gifts in stockings. She goes to put a vibrator into one, before retrieving it and keeping the sex toy for herself.

The advice continues: “Do something for others, but don’t forget about number one. Yes, that is a vibrator.”

Aside from the sex toy, the video mainly features pieces from G. Label, a clothing line sold on the Goop website.

The G. Label December collection features: “A mix of elegant eveningwear, snuggly-soft sweaters, and more cocktail-ready pieces wrapped up in a pretty, frilly bow.”

The Goop online store sells a range of sex toys, including vibrators, in the “Between the Sheets” section on its website. However, the specific orange one featured in the video does not appear to be sold on the site.
