Greensburg Farmers Market returns May 17

May 2—GREENSBURG — Main Street Greensburg's Farmers Market returns to the southside of the Square from 2 to 6 p.m. Fridays from May 17 to Oct. 18.

The 2024 market season is powered by Duke Energy. This support will allow Main Street Greensburg to waive vendor registration costs for the 2024 season.

In addition, expect to see giveaways, yoga, and storytime at the market.

"Farmers markets provide local businesses an opportunity to display their talents, treasures, and goods and services," Kylie Foster, Government and Community Relations Manager for Southeast Indiana said. "Duke Energy appreciates the contributions of our small businesses and family farms, and the market is one way to show our appreciation for their contributions to our economy."

Main Street Greensburg's Farmers Market is expected to feature more than two dozen vendors through the season that offer a variety of goods to the community. Shoppers can find fresh produce, locally-sourced honey, baked goods, meats, eggs, fresh cut flowers, artisan items, and more.

"We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to our vendors, thanks to the support of Duke Energy," Main Street Greensburg Executive Director Allison Beck said. "Our market has a diverse pool of vendors that allows the community to support farmers, entrepreneurs, bakers, and artisans."

The Main Street Greensburg Farmers Market also accepts SNAP benefits and provides "Double Up." Every week, SNAP recipients can double up to $20. The Double Up Indiana program is made possible by the St. Joseph's Foundation.
