The Great British Bake Off Has An ICONIC New Co-Host
We are SO PLEASED to be reporting the very important news that Alison Hammond will be replacing Matt Lucas as co-host of The Great British Bake Off this year.
The absolutely iconic British TV presenter best known for presenting This Morning will join Noel Fielding for the next series of GBBO, and we can't wait to see what the duo will get up to.
We're imaging LOTS of cackling.
Alison revealed the news on Twitter and Instagram by posting a cute video of miniature models of herself, Noel and judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood made from icing. Adorable.
Fielding replied on Insta saying the pair will be like "two naught kids" and this is exactly the vibe we're hoping carries through the whole season.
It's not the first time Alison has made her mark in the GBBO tent. She took part in the celeb version of the show for Stand Up To Cancer back in 2020, where she made biscuits that Paul said looked as if they'd been decorated by a five year old. We love a relatable queen!
While her baking abilities might not be up to par (according to Paul anyway) we're 10/10 certain her infectious laughter is going to make watching GBBO this year a total joy.
