Titled Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes, the actor and presenter will be joined by the likes of ex-footballer and I'm a Celebrity winner Jill Scott, Dragons' Den star Sara Davies, presenter Steph McGovern, podcaster Rosie Ramsey, former footballer Les Ferdinand and Lee Ridley (AKA Lost Voice Guy) as he takes in the region's natural beauty.
The series will see the presenter enjoy a number of activities including: a steam train journey, a night in a hammock, sketching with local artists, and cycling along the coast from Newcastle to Edinburgh.
Green and his guest stars will also discuss the importance of taking a break from day-to-day stresses, slowing down and looking after our mental health.
Discussing the upcoming series, Green, who will be co-producing as well as starring, said: "I’m thrilled to be starring in and co-producing this fantastic new series for BBC Two. The North-East holds a special place in my heart and I’m excited to showcase the best it has to offer.

Green currently stars as Geordie Keating in ITV detective drama Grantchester, which is set to air its eighth series next year.
Outside of acting, he has also presented several series including Robson's Extreme Fishing Challenge, Robson Green's Wild Swimming Adventure and Tales from Northumberland with Robson Green.
