It looks like 2019 could be the booziest year yet, as another pink gin has been released into the ever-expanding market.

This time it's by none other than talk show host Graham Norton, who has created his very own eponymous pink gin, 'Graham's Irish Pink Gin' – yes, it's really happened!

Just in time for Mother's Day, Graham's new release is made with Irish grains, and includes 12 botanicals such as lemon peel, orange peel, elderflower, rose hip, gooseberries and fuchsia flowers.

To create his gin, the chat show host teamed up with a local West Cork distillery to make two different small batches of the spirit.

The first batch is the fruity pink gin, with a second batch – a classic London dry style – being released later this year.

'Why bore the woman you love the most with chocolates, when you can wow her with a bottle of my own Pink Gin,' said Graham on why his gin would make the perfect gift for Mother's Day.

'Great gin is a starting point. Add the right mixers, a favourite glass and a friend or two and you’ve got a recipe for something very special indeed.'

Graham had the idea for creating the gin at the end of a wine blending session, with the host already having a successful wine range which inlaces a SauviGNon Blanc, rosé, Shiraz and prosecco.

Relaxing after blending, Graham and the team sipped on Martinis made with Irish gin, and Graham hatched a plan to create one for himself.

At a punchy 40 percent abv the gin costs £29 a bottle, and is available exclusively at Tesco stores.
