The "Gorgeous" TikTok-Viral Scalloped Table I'm Buying for My Entryway
Back in January, we determined that the scalloped silhouette was the “it” shape of the year, and months later, we still stand by it. After seeing it mostly on rugs, bedding, and smaller pieces of decor, the trend has expanded to include furniture, too. The wavy border has made appearances on everything from headboards to nightstands to sofas. Top retailers like Pottery Barn and Urban Outfitters have gotten in on the scallop action — and so have the budget-friendly brands on Amazon.
The latter is where my latest must-have find comes from. When I first stumbled across this TikTok video, I immediately assumed that the featured console table was at least triple its price. It certainly looks like it, with its scalloped edges and wood grain finish, which is likely why it’s earned almost 140,000 likes in only a couple of weeks. This gorgeous table — which can function as an entryway table, a TV stand, or even a sideboard or bar station — happens to be on sale for just $160 right now.

Most console tables with scalloped edges go for well over $200, and while I’m absolutely in love with the trend, I’m not willing to spend quite that much on it. This TikTok-viral gem is one of the few I’ve been able to find at an affordable price that actually looks expensive. The wooden construction is sturdy and substantial, but the organic shape gives it a contrasting softness. Whereas a good portion of console tables disappear into the wall with their simple designs, this one makes a statement. At 63 inches wide and about 12 inches deep, the table is narrow, but if you decorate it to the fullest, it packs even more of a visual punch.
You can get some inspiration from the viral video, where creator @sonelymateo stages it with ceramics, a lamp, and artwork. You can go a similar route and use the table to liven up the space on a too-empty wall, or have it serve a more function-oriented purpose in your entryway, holding keys and your daily essentials. On that front, the open shelf along the bottom provides some easily accessible storage. You could place it behind your couch instead — as long as it’s still visible, of course — or turn it into a bar station or TV stand.

I can totally envision this gem in my space, and it can serve so many functions that even if I move apartments, I have no doubt I’d find another use for it. Plus, it checks all of the other boxes: affordable price tag, trendy silhouette, and small space-friendly. TikTok strikes again!
