Gordon Ramsay's Most ICONIC TV Show Is Returning After 10 Years

Yes, that's right. What is arguably Gordon Ramsay's most famous TV show, Kitchen Nightmares, will soon be returning to a TV screen near you.

American media broadcaster Fox has renewed Kitchen Nightmares, which means a whole brand-new series of the show will be created for our viewing pleasure!

In a breakdown of the broadcaster's Autumn TV scheduling plans, Fox revealed that a new series of Kitchen Nightmares would air in late 2023 or early 2024.

Crucially, it's important to note that it's the US version of the show (produced by ITV Studios America with Optomen and A. Smith & Co) that's coming back, not Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, which aired on Channel 4 from 2004-2014.

When will the new series of Kitchen Nightmares air?

From the information we have from Fox at the moment, we can confirm that Kitchen Nightmares is likely to air in late 2023. Autumn watching sorted!

Where can you watch the new series of Kitchen Nightmares?

Here in the UK, you won't see Fox on your available list of TV channels on an ordinary Freeview box. You can access some programmes from Fox on Amazon Prime, and as of 2021 all Fox UK programmes were moved over to subscription service Disney+. So, we're hoping that the new series will be available on either of these streaming services. You'll be the first to know when we find out.

Will the new series work the same way as the original?

As far as we know, yes. The original format of the show included the controversial chef visiting a failing restaurant, point out everything the restauranteurs are doing wrong, and fix it all in the space of a week. This ambitious and pretty harsh approach led to some iconic foodie TV moments, including total meltdowns, food throwing and A LOT of undercooked food.

Why did Kitchen Nightmares end?

Kitchen Nightmares debuted in 2004 and ran for seven seasons until the 56-year-old chef called it quits in 2014.

At the time, Gordon said of the decision to end the show's run: "I'm currently filming four new episodes for [the UK's] Channel 4, which will be my last," he stated in a letter to fans on his website.

"I've had a phenomenal 10 years making 123 episodes, 12 seasons, shot across 2 continents, watched by tens of millions of people and sold to over 150 countries," he continued. "It's been a blast, but it's time to call it a day."

Can you still watch the old Kitchen Nightmares online?

Yes! Series one to five of the UK version and one to seven of the US version of the show are currently available on Channel. Series one to seven of the UK version are also available on Amazon Prime.
