Gordon Ramsay says 'it kills me' in heartbreaking confession about his children
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay previously made a heartbreaking confession about his children as he opened up about missing important milestones. The 58-year-old is a doting dad to Megan, 26, twins Holly and Jack, 24, Matilda, 22, Oscar, five, and Jesse, one, whom he shares with wife Tana.
In 2018, before welcoming his two youngest kids, Gordon discussed the sacrifices he's made to achieve his success. While appearing as a guest judge on MasterChef Australia, he comforted a contestant after she broke down in tears over missing her son's first day of school. He said: "Chloe, everybody needs to sacrifice to get to the top. That's life. This competition's a phenomenon. The rewards at the top are extraordinary. I can give you 25 examples of what I've missed with my four kids over the last 10 years. And it kills me."
He added: "But you get to a certain level of success in life, and there's a price to pay for that. So park that and continue on that journey."

Gordon often shares snippets of family life on social media. Last month, he took to Instagram to post snaps from their idyllic Cornish getaway. In one photo, he's seen grinning while son Jesse is perched on his shoulders and Oscar is snuggled against his leg. Another shot showed Gordon posing on the beach alongside Tana, 50.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1996, announced the surprise arrival of their sixth child in December last year, saying: "What an amazing birthday present! Please welcome Jesse James Ramsay, 7lbs 10oz whopper. One more bundle of love to the Ramsay brigade!! 3 boys, 3 girls... Done."
Reflecting on her pregnancy journey, Tana explained: "It's been a nerve-wracking 9 months, but we've made it, and we have been blessed with this little bundle." She then added: "Ramsay family definitely complete. Jesse James Ramsay, we love you so much."
Tana bravely shared her experience of suffering a devastating miscarriage in 2016. She said last year: "A happy picture taken of us celebrating Megan's 18th, I was just under 20 weeks pregnant. Little did we know, a few days later, I would be holding our little boy Rocky born with a strong heartbeat but too little to survive."
She continued: "Although it's 7 years today, it still feels like yesterday. We all miss you every day. We love you, Rocky, forever in our hearts. I couldn't do this without my family, you are all everything to me xxx."
Gordon also previously opened up about the loss, telling People Magazine: "Losing Rocky was really tough, and then just being there and watching the trauma unfold, it's just this life-changing moment."
