Good Morning Britain star apologises for 'disgusting' tweet about Kate Middleton
The Good Morning Britain and Jeremy Vine star who came under fire for her remarks about Kate Middleton has apologised. Narinder Kaur, who rose to fame on Big Brother in 2001, posted after the princess appeared at Remembrance Sunday events: "Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much? Isn't she only 42? Is she a smoker? It's the only explanation."
A huge backlash ensued, with The Chase and I'm A Celeb star Anne Hegerty among those replying. She said bluntly: "I hope you look better than that when you get cancer." Others branded the remark "disgusting". The TV star later deleted the original tweet and explained she'd received death threats and racist comments in the wake of the post.
She told her followers: "I put out a tweet earlier. A genuine ask about why Kate Middleton had aged so much. It was genuinely – an ask. I thought she was perhaps a smoker. It was, on reflection, a stupid, insensitive tweet. More so because someone who lost her brother to cancer should have known better."

Kate made two appearances for the Royal Family over the weekend following the announcement that she has ended her chemotherapy treatment. Kate has been battling cancer since at least March this year, after undergoing major abdominal surgery.
After Narinder questioned why Kate had "aged" one follower said: "I don't know, maybe she's had cancer for the past year." The star, who has a picture of her on GMB on her profile, replied: "My brother had cancer... he didn't age like that."
She later hit out at the abuse she received for her original post, saying: "I have never been proven more correct about the racial abuse on this platform than today. I put put a tweet about AGEING . AGEING!!!!
"And all you disgusting racists came at me like I'd killed kids. You utter sick f***s. AGEING??!?! You don't care about Kate. You don't give one s***. You just wanted to hang me . Well..you just gave me the best Sunday ever."
Narinder, 51, who is from Leicester, was on the second series of Big Brother, which was won by Brian Dowling, and appeared alongside Helen Adams and Paul Clarke.
These days she is a TV regular and appeared on a GMB debate titled: "Are we ashamed to be English?" alongside The Apprentice's Tom Skinner where she said England needs a new flag because the current one is "outdated" and represents "negativity" and "racists".
She said: "Let's get a new flag because that one is outdated. It represents far too much negativity in this country, I think we need a new day," adding: "St George is actually a representation of multiculturalism, and he's a representation of tolerance, we should be more of a tolerant country. We are not that these days."
