The Golden Globes after-party looks that are too good to miss
There's no doubt that an award show's red carpet offers up some of the very best collaborations between stars, their stylists and fashion designers. Some, however, will argue that behind the scenes at the after-party is where the A-list set really let their hair down, and in turn, where the fashion is at its most liberated and exciting; a peek at this year's Golden Globes after-party outfits might just confirm this.
Being one of the first red-carpet events of the year, not everyone that ventured to the main awards made it as far as the subsequent celebrations (who can blame them?). But out of those who did, came a parade of indulgent post-party looks, including second outfits to archival finds and sheer fabrics.
Below, find our favourite Golden Globe after-party and second looks, from Zendaya's embellished ensemble to Elle Fanning's vintage Galliano gown.
Zendaya
Never one to shy away from an outfit change on the night (just recall her incredible vintage Galliano Met Gala looks from last year), Zendaya slipped into her second dress by Nicolas Ghesquiere's Louis Vuitton: an ivory spaghetti-strap dress with ornate gold brocade and pearl embroidery.
Elle Fanning
The Fanning sisters put on a double display of glamour at the Golden Globes after-party. Elle kept with the theme from her first Balmain gown, opting for a vintage leopard print Dior slip dress (from Galliano's tenure) and matching scarf acquired from fashion archivist Shrimpton Couture.
Dakota Fanning
Dakota Fanning opted for a more understated look, switching out her flowing red Dolce & Gabbana gown for a sophisticated floor-length black dress with a plunging V-neck, keeping an element of her red carpet dress alive with a crimson shoulder bag.
Zoe Saldaña
Zoe Saldaña arrived at Netflix's after-party looking incredible in a sheer high-neck dress by Saint Laurent. The piece was constructed of delicate floral lace in a warm mocha shade, and in a twist of fate, complemented the gold hue of her newly-acquired Golden Globe award.
Quinta Brunson
Keeping the shimmering atmosphere of the evening alive, Quinta Brunson changed out of her brown crystal-embellished dress and into a midnight-blue strapless mini, the sequin-encrusted design of which carried on the sparkle of her red carpet ensemble.
Anna Sawai
Anna Sawai celebrated her Golden Globe win by opting for something with a more metallic edge for her after-party appearance. The ensemble featured a custom one-shoulder silver Dior dress, encrusted with crystalline sequins that reached to the floor, paired with platform open-toe heels and jewellery from Cartier.
Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale looked perfect in pink, opting for a Nicole + Felicia gown with bow detailing and a voluminous puffball skirt. She styled the dress with black velvet gloves and a matching Marina Raphael clutch bag, wearing jewellery by Kallati.
Mikey Madison
Mikey Madison opted for a little black dress to close the evening's celebrations, featuring a cowl neck and metallic gold chain straps, which she accessorised with a red Bottega Veneta clutch bag.
Eiza González
Eiza González also chose black for her after-party outfit, wearing a striped sheer-panelled polo dress by Coperni.
Monica Barbaro
Monica Barbaro attended wearing a rich purple satin mini dress by Marc Jacobs, which she paired with a metallic silver clutch bag and matching heeled sandals.
