Gok Wan reveals his huge styling blunder with major 90s girl band 'I massively f****d up!'
Gok Wan has dished the dirt on his early days in the fashion world, revealing a hilarious mishap when he first met the iconic girl band All Saints. The fashion guru, who is now a household name, was tasked with styling the Rock Steady hitmakers for their chart comeback in 2006.
Reminiscing about his love for the group this week, saying: "I was always a massive All Saints fan when I was growing up, I loved them. They were the cool girl band and exactly in my age gap era.
"And so when I got asked called in by the girls to be their stylists to relaunch them, it was a massive privilege but so scary. So unbelievably scary," he continued during a chat with the Daily Star.
But his first impression was less than smooth, as he confessed: "But when I met them, I massively f***** up basically when I burled into the studio, fell over into Nicole's lap, and they still booked me."
Gok has had his fair share of showbiz moments, and while the All Saints incident may have been an embarrassing one, he previously recalled to OK! being most nervous for meeting with Sarah Jessica Parker.
Meeting the actress at the Sex and The City premiere in 2008, he admitted: "I’ve never been so nervous in my life."
More recently, This Morning star Gok was left honoured as it was revealed he has been made the godfather of Made In Chelsea stars Ollie Locke's twins.
Ollie and his husband Gareth announced in August last year that they had become father to son Apollo and daughter Cosimo, who were brought into the world via surrogate Rebecca 'Bex' Ward.
And this month, it was finally revealed that Gok has a special place in the little ones' lives. Sharing the exciting news on Instagram on Friday, alongside a series of adorable photos with his new godchildren. "Today I met my newest God Children," he wrote.
He added: "#Cosi #Apollo are just every shade of perfect @ollielockeworld @garethplocke."
In one photo, Gok is seen posing with the baby twins and their dads Ollie and Gareth, while in another, he's holding one of their cute little hands.
Gok and Ollie have been friends for years - and even admitted to sharing a cheeky snog back in Ollie's single days. Speaking to Vicky Pattison on her podcast in 2022, Ollie said: "Gok has been one of my best friends for ten years.
"We did Chatty Man together years ago - and we actually ended up snogging at the end of the night, hilariously. Anyway, we never snogged again after that but he became once of my closest friends."
Meanwhile, Ollie's MIC co-stars Sophie Hermann and Liv Bentley are the babies' godmothers, with Ollie revealing the news to OK! last year.
