They reassured followers on Instagram, posting: "Chilling waiting for the calm before the storm. It's still beautiful and calm here at the moment but the hurricane has been upgraded to a category 5 . @sandals_uk have assured us they will keep us safe ! ! So for now we will enjoy and keep you all updated xx See you soon xx".

On Wednesday morning, the couple shared more updates, with Tom explaining the resort's precautions: "There's a hurricane coming but it's not so bad because they've put stuff in place."

Julie pointed out the measures taken nearby: "In the villa next to us, can you see there's some sun loungers in the pool? That's what they've done. We're all about to go to the hotel main building where all the windows are boarded up."

Despite the looming storm, the Malones remained upbeat, with Julie commenting: "As you can see, other than the clouds being a bit grey and it is a bit windier than usual, it's time for breakfast. We'll keep you updated but, for now, thing are pretty calm. I'm sure things will change later but, we'll be ok."
