GMB's Susanna and Richard called out by Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden for interview blunder
Susanna Reid was left red-faced on Good Morning Britain when Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden pointed out she'd made a gaffe. Just as the show was wrapping up on Wednesday, 1 May, the Boyzlife duo had to remind her that she'd forgotten to chat about their tour.
The pair were in the Good Morning Britain studio to dish details about their upcoming Boyzlife tour set for January. But before they could dive into their future plans, they reminisced over a decades-old interview with Susanna's co-host Richard Madeley.
Caught up in nostalgia, Susanna nearly ended the segment by sending her best wishes to Brian and Keith, completely omitting any mention of their tour.
The lads didn't let it slide, chiming in together: "You never mentioned the tour!" Despite the oversight, Keith light-heartedly quipped: "We don't get up this early in the morning, we only do it to promote our tour."
Keith Duffy of Boyzone fame and Westlife's Brian McFadden joined forces in 2016 to create Boyzlife, delighting fans with a mix of their bands' hits. After four years of hard graft, they dropped their first album, Strings Attached, in 2020.
Their latest musical offering, Old School, hit the shelves on January 19, 2022.
Keith and Brian are all set to charm their fans with a tour starting in late January 2025, kicking off at Blackpool's Opera House. But it's not just the music that's got them excited, they're also dipping their toes into the world of football with Chorley FC.
Back in February 2024, the Boyzone duo, along with bandmate Shane Lynch, scoped out Chorley FC during the FA Trophy Tie as potential investors, though their exact roles at the club are yet to be confirmed. Ronan Keating, who couldn't make it to the match, is said to be equally keen on the venture.
Chatting with PA News Agency, Brian hinted that a deal was on the horizon, saying: "It's pretty close. I've just been talking about coming to the next home game with my family so you'll probably see quite a lot of us. We're in."
Brian then shared how Shane, despite not being a huge football fan, played a pivotal role in getting them involved: "Shane's not really a football man but he knew that me and Keith love football so he got us involved, and Ronan. We want to be part of something from the ground up."
Brian continued: "I'm a Manchester United fan myself, I've got season tickets at Old Trafford, but it's a corporation. You look at something like Chorley Football Club and you see this belongs to the town, it belongs to the people, it belongs to the community". The trio made their involvement official by signing on the dotted line in late March 2024, showing their dedication to the Magpies.
