First introduced to the fashion crowd by Givenchy, pearl-inspired makeup is the latest beauty phenomenon to be readily adopted by millennials far and wide.
Pearls are certainly ‘in’ this season thanks to Simone Rocha for sending models down the runway with their middle-parted hair gripped in place by pearl-embroidered hair barrettes.
But it didn’t take long for fashion devotees to take the trend one step further by applying plastic pearls to their brows, lips and cheekbones.
And although the SS18 catwalk shows introduced the fash pack to glitter lips and camera-worthy highlighter, we never expected to need pearls in our makeup bag.
We don’t know about you but it’s certainly not a look we can easily recreate on the tube to work…
