Is Glenn Close's latest look a reimagining of her famous character?
Glenn Close has made her mark on the film world in a whole rostra of memorable roles -who could ever forget her performance as the infamous "bunny boiler" opposite Michael Douglas in Fatal Attraction for instance?
But it was one character in particular which it seemed Glenn may have been nodding towards when she stepped out in a grey two piece suit for the premiere of The Summer Book at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, USA, on Sunday (27 October).
Glenn's chic tailoring was covered in irregular shaped and sized black jewels, reminiscent of a Dalmatian print, which she wore over a glossy black top, accessorising with a pair of fingerless black gloves and pointed nails. Yes - you guessed it - we're getting serious throwbacks to Glenn's iconic role as Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians.
It's as if Cruella's dramatic and much-longed for Dalmatian coat, long nails and black gloves have been subtly reimagined for the modern red carpet - and we can't get enough of her look. She even wore a pair of pointed black boots just like her dramatic onscreen character.
In terms of glam, Glenn opted for a decidedly more understated look than Cruella's trademark dramatic makeup and red lip, going for a glowy complexion with peachy tones in her warm blush, subtle eye shadow and sweep lipstick instead.
During the event, Glenn joined Charlie McDowell on stage to speak at the American Film Institute (AFI) FEST 2024 screening and Q&A of The Summer Book.
