Is Gladiator II the hottest film premiere you've ever seen?
Was there a more anticipated film premiere than Gladiator II this year? The long-awaited sequel to Ridley's Scott award-winning movie starring Russel Crowe is finally due to hit our screens this week.
Gladiator has always been known as a quintessentially male movie, a film about honour with epic battle scenes and a noble hero who is also an outstanding warrior, of course.
So, it's perhaps not surprising that men took centre stage on the red carpet at Gladiator II's premiere in London on Wednesday (13 November), delivering effortless stylish looks and roguish glamour at it best.
We might even argue these are some of the best leading men looks, we've seen in a long time.
Paul Mescal looked suave in a custom single-breasted Gucci tuxedo with an unbuttoned shirt, completing his outfit with a discreet Cartier watch. The look, which was no doubt carefully put together by his longtime stylist Felicity Kay, had a louche yet elegant vibe about it, which is fast-becoming the young actor's red carpet signature.
His co-star Pedro Pascal opted for Bottega Venetta tailoring with a dramatic deep-V silk shirt, which featured red-detailed collar points. He completed his look with classic front-pleated trousers, and woven loafers, giving us a masterclass in roguish sophistication.
Meanwhile, looking as sharp as ever Joseph Quinn, who plays one of the film's main antagonists, donned a sleek Prada leather blazer.
The Gladiator cast was joined on the red carpet by Mescal's All of us Stangers co-star and friend Andrew Scott, who gave us another example of effortless-cool as he wore a blue and black cardigan which he paired with black trousers and slip on shoes.
We don't know about you, but we've rarely seen men bring so much glamour to the red carpet - and we're here for it !
Gladiator II is in cinemas from 15th November.
