  • Gigi Hadid is officially a red-head after being inspired by The Queen's Gambit.

  • She debuted the look on Instagram during a recent modelling job.

It's pretty clear Gigi Hadid can pull off ANY look, including one which involves ditching her signature blonde hair for red.

Her latest transformation, however, is inspired by The Queen's Gambit, featuring Anya Taylor-Joy.

Anya's look in the Netflix series is very distinct, what with her bright red hair styled in a short '50s manner.

And it appears 25-year-old Gigi has taken major inspiration, having switched up her locks during the last week of February.

Earlier today [March 5], the star shared a series of shots to detail the process on Instagram. "She is dedicated to everyone responsible for The Queen's Gambit," she wrote in one, referencing Anya's character Beth Harmon.

Meanwhile, in a cute final shot, Gigi could be seen wearing a super high ponytail with a grey scrunchie.

Gigi's signature blonde hair was dyed a fiery red by hairstylist Panos Papandrianos.

Naturally, it didn't take long for fans to give their verdict.

"I'm here for the Gigi Hadid ginger hair era," one wrote on Twitter, while another said, "Something about Gigi Hadid coloring her hair red feels very right to meeee."

Meanwhile, the model also recently made her runway comeback since giving birth to her and boyfriend Zayn Malik’s daughter, Khai.

She walked in the Versace Fall-Winter Fashion Show, which aired on the brand’s social media platform.

During the show, Gigi debuted her new locks alongside the likes of sister Bella and Irina Shayk.

Her catwalk return comes shortly after the model opened up on giving birth to her daughter.

Gigi and Zayn were initially fairly private about their daughter, waiting four months to reveal her name on social media. But as the months have gone by, Gigi hasn't been afraid to open up on their bundle of joy.

In an interview with Vogue, the star admitted that she "surrendered" to the pain during her home birth – which she opted for over a hospital-based one due to COVID – and that it was a positive experience. She also shared that she really wanted a natural birth: "I had to dig deep," she explained. "I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like 'This is what it is' – I loved that." Her doula, an old classmate, also made an appearance on Zoom.

In total her labour lasted for 14 hours and Gigi said that when her daughter finally made her entrance into the world, she didn't realise until she looked up and saw that Zayn was holding her.

The model added that her mother, Yolanda, and sister, Bella, were also there throughout her labour, with a midwife and a midwife's assistant.

From welcoming a new life to walking the runway, she's pretty much done it all.
