Getting Ready for Louis Vuitton With Rauw Alejandro
Rauw Alejandro was one of the many celebrities who traveled to Paris this week for Pharell Williams’ latest menswear collection for Louis Vuitton. The musician joined the likes of Bradley Cooper, Carey Mulligan, Marcus Mumford, Venus Williams, Will Poulter, Quavo, Karlie Kloss, A$AP Ferg, Maggie Rogers, Lakeith Stanfield, Taylor Zakhar Perez and more for the show, held at the Fondation Louis Vuitton on the outskirts of Paris. The show debuted Williams’ third collection for Louis Vuitton.
Alejandro touched down in Paris off a 10-hour flight and “you gotta go straight to the glam room,” he said. His look for the show included shorts, which allowed him to show off “some new ink additions from [the] holidays.”

Completing the look were sunglasses, as “matching accessories in every outfit is key” and one should never “underestimate the impact of a pair of good shades,” he said.
The 31-year-old Puerto Rican singer was left “looking good, feeling good” before it was time to take in the collection.

Speaking backstage about the collection, Williams said the following: “I felt like when you see cowboys portrayed, you see only a few versions. You never really get to see what some of the original cowboys really look like. They look like us, they look like me. They look Black, they look Native American,” Williams explained backstage.
“Telling your story and telling your people’s story as best you can, and doing it candidly and with love, that’s an overwhelming feeling to kind of pull it off, and it felt like we did — like the feeling in the room just felt like a whole lot of love. And that’s what the goal was, and I thank God that we got a chance to do that,” he added.
