Gethin Jones supported by co-stars after new update amid Morning Live absence
Gethin Jones' Morning Live co-stars flocked to support him after he shared a new announcement on social media. The TV favourite shared a post to Instagram showing photographs from the press night of his pantomime show Cinderella, which he's starring in throughout December at The New Theatre in Cardiff.
Alongside a carousel of snaps from his performance, Gethin, 46, excitedly told his followers he'd had a "blast", captioning the post: "The ball has officially begun! Press night done Everyone was fab and I remembered all my words! What a blast..! #Cinderella." The star's followers flocked to support him, including Kimberley Walsh and Rav Wilding.

Kimberley penned: "Looks like a great show!" While Rav added: "Go well bud!" Helen Skelton said: "Looks fantastic."
Meanwhile, a fan said: "That's brilliant Geth. Huge congratulations. It all looks amazing and you have stolen the show!!" and another commented: "Oh this looks fantastic!"
Gethin has been absent from TV screens for nearly two weeks in order to attend rehearsals for the pantomime, in which he portrays Prince Charming. The Morning Live team have been filling in for him, with Gordon Smart and Michelle Ackerley among those covering Gethin.
Gethin is starring alongside Owain Wyn Evans, Mike Doyle and Denquar Chupak in the pantomime, which runs until 5 January. He'll be splitting his time between Manchester and Cardiff throughout December.
The synopsis for the show reads: "Packed with all of the traditional pantomime ingredients New Theatre Cardiff audiences expect, Cinderella features laugh-out-loud comedy, stunning scenery, beautiful costumes and plenty of boos and hisses. Join Cinders as she goes from rags to riches, outwits her very wicked sisters and meets her Prince Charming."
In a message shared to Instagram, he announced: "I'm going to be diving between Morning Live and panto for the next couple of weeks and then it's going to be a busy run-in to Christmas. I can't wait."
In September, Gethin revealed his excitement at being able to be back in Wales around the Christmas period for the panto.
He told Wales Online: "Morning Live is based in Manchester and it is a trek to Cardiff so getting back to see family and friends is not always easy. From a personal point of view, when the offer came in and I saw it said Cardiff I thought it would be amazing to be home and be around at Christmas."
