George Clooney turns detective in new TV whodunnit
George Clooney has turned detective for a fun new whodunnit, starring alongside his "long-time friend" Eva Longoria for the first time in his career.
Set on a luxury train, George is tasked with uncovering the mystery of the missing 'jewels' of an heiress (Camille Cottin) in a charming new ad for Nespresso, which launches tomorrow (15 January). The jewels in question are Nespresso coffee pods, and hot in line for questioning are the train's chef, played by Eva Longoria, and sous chef, Kim Go Eun.

The playful ad is the latest from George for the coffee brand and, in a release, the actor praised the latest campaign as being "unbelievably fun because of the script and the cast."
George said that it was his first time "working with my long-time friend Eva, who made the perfect culinary duo with Kim trying to deceive me," and added that they both "brought such a vibrant energy to set and worked so seamlessly together."
"It was also wonderful to be reunited with Camille. She always brings a touch of sophistication, which was perfect for this role," he noted.
Eva Longoria, also in a release, praised the campaign's casting as 'iconic', adding she was "thrilled" to have joined the ranks. She also said she enjoyed working with George who she'd known "for a long time but this was our first time working on a project together, and it was such a pleasure being on set with him, Kim and Camille.”
She added that the cast has a strong rapport working together on the project.
The Nespresso whodunnit coffee ad follows Yorkshire Tea's own whodunnit ad last week, starring Sarah Lancashire in a role reminiscent of her popular Happy Valley character, Catherine Cawood.
