Gemma Atkinson comforts daughter Mia as she sobs after 'dramatic' moment

Strictly couple Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez have found themselves in a bit of family drama as shown on their series, Gemma and Gorka: Behind The Lens on channel W. In the latest instalment, viewers see their daughter Mia, four, suffering after getting a splinter in her finger.

As she cries out, Gemma, 39, steps up to comfort her saying soothingly, "Come on, we'll sort it," as they hunt down a pair of tweezers for the mini emergency. Meanwhile, Gorka, 33, has his hands full with son Thiago, and jokingly tells Mia: "You're being such a dramatic queen." Recognising Gorka's blunder, Gemma is quick to correct him by saying: "Drama queen," while laughing, and then she teases, "Well say Papa, I get it from you."

As the scene unfolds, Gorka embraces the chaos, popping himself in a chair holding baby Thiago and declaring, "I'm in the waiting chair at the doctors. So dramatic." Adding to the commotion, little Thiago also starts crying, and Gorka tries to understand his distress, asking, "What's wrong with you now?"

In the background of this familial chaos, Gemma can be faintly heard reassuring Mia: "It's not going to hurt, I promise you. Look, you can do it with me. You ready?" reports the Express. Thankfully, the drama didn't last long, and with the pesky splinter safely removed the former Emmerdale star added: "There it is. Yeah, now did that hurt?" With relief, Mia responded, "No," her tears stopping. Gemma then light-heartedly remarks, "Well then."

Lovebirds Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez officially announced their romance on Valentine's Day 2018, after sparks flew during the 15th series of Strictly Come Dancing. While on the show, Gemma was twirling around the dance floor with Aljaz Skorjanec, whereas Gorka was stepping in time with Alexandra Burke.

Both duos waltzed their way to the finale but were beaten by Holby City star Joe McFadden. Fast-forward three years, and the dancing couple shared they were ready to tie the knot. In February 2019, another joyous announcement came as they revealed they were expecting their first-born, Mia, who arrived in the July.

Last year, Gemma expanded their troupe with the birth of son Thiago, announced via Instagram, telling her vast following of two million: "Thiago Thomas Marquez. Our family is complete," adorned with a touching blue heart emoji.
