GB News host missing after Eamonn Holmes forced to quit show mid-air

The presenter was back on air on Wednesday morning, but his co-host Isabel Webster was notably absent. Instead, Eamonn Holmes was joined by Ellie Costello.

While Eamonn has not publicly commented on why he left the show mid-broadcast, a spokesperson confirmed to Express.co.uk that the TV host had "fallen ill".

They stated: "Eamonn had to finish earlier today as he was feeling unwell. He hopes to be back tomorrow."

The former This Morning star unexpectedly left the GB News desk offscreen around 7:45am during an interview with Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Mental Health Maria Caulfield.

Isabel, 41, carried on presenting the final 90 minutes of their show alone, without giving any explanation for Eamonn's sudden departure.

He also confirmed that his co-host Isabel would be returning to present alongside him.

Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel airs Monday to Wednesday at 6am on GB News.
