Gatehouse to host Stuff the Truck event

Apr. 16—DANVILLE — The Gatehouse will accept a variety of donations this weekend during their Stuff the Truck event.

The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Gatehouse, 21 Gatehouse Drive in Danville.

Accepted items will include men's, women's and children's clothing, accessories, toys, household items, decorations and working-condition electronics such as flat panel TVs and computer monitors, radios, alarm clocks, computer accessories and VCR and DVD players.

A puppy who found itself stuck in a hole between two walls was rescued by a young man who armed himself with a hammer and a lot of patience in Culiacan, Mexico, on April 23.Jesus Alejandro Sepulveda Garcia told Storyful that he was working in a factory when he heard one of the puppies who hung around the site “crying a lot”.He discovered the puppy stuck between two walls, so he grabbed a hammer and started carefully working around the dog to make more space to free the animal.The puppy was safely returned to its mother, after a bit of affectionate scolding from Garcia.Garcia later posted footage of the puppy and its siblings to his TikTok, with the aim of finding individuals who could adopt them.
