FYI: Rite Aid Has Changed Its Christmas Hours for 2023

No matter how much planning goes in to all of the Christmas festivities (from baking and decorating to gift-buying and wrapping), we inevitably forget something come Christmas Day. We try to reserve our last-minute trips to the store to emergency situations, but if you need to make one last stop, you'll need to know what stores are open. While many grocery stores and one-stop shops like Target, Costco, and Walmart close on December 25, shoppers can typically count on drug stores to remain open. This year, Rite Aid has announced that they will be closing for the first time, and it's for a very good reason.

Is Rite Aid Open on Christmas?

Rite Aid stores and pharmacies will be closed on December 25, 2023. A representative from Rite Aid told Country Living, "This is the first year our stores will be closed on Christmas Day. We are fully committed to our store teams, who are at the heart of the work we do for our customers and communities, and we are continuously looking for ways to improve our general work environment and work/life balance for our associates. Some of our recent efforts include lunchtime pharmacy closures, reduced weekend hours in many locations, holiday closures and greater career opportunities with increasing leadership roles across our regions. We will continue to work tirelessly to support our teams as they support our customers and communities."
