'Furious' Gregg Wallace unfollows MasterChef co-host John Torode and his famous wife Lisa
Gregg Wallace has seemingly unfollowed his Masterchef co-host John Torode and his wife Lisa Faulkner on Instagram, after stepping down from the show amid allegations of inappropriate behaviour. Gregg and John have hosted the cooking competition together for almost two decades, with John and Lisa both still following Gregg on the platform.
Following the scathing move, a source has claimed to The Sun that Gregg has cut ties due due to the fact that John has not spoken out publicly in his defence amid the allegations. “Gregg is absolutely furious and is convinced he has done nothing wrong. Seeing John keeping quiet amid all of this has irked him hugely. Gregg and John have been colleagues for almost two decades and while they aren’t the closest of friends, Gregg feels John could say something," a source told The Sun.
They added: "He has deleted them from his Instagram account now and unfollowed both of them. It might seem petty from Gregg but he is furious about how this has all played out.”

John was best man at Gregg’s wedding to his wife Anne-Maire Sterpini in 2016, but has since seemingly distanced himself and even claimed they had 'never been friends' just a year later. "It’s funny, we’ve never been friends," John told The Mirror in 2017.
He continued: "We’ve not been to each other’s houses. If we go away to somewhere like South Africa, we do things separately. If we do go out for a drink, I’ll invariably be at one end of a big old table and he’ll be at the other.”
Contradicting this in April this year, Gregg claimed the duo are 'very close'. Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine, he said: “I film with John six or seven months of the year, so we are very close to each other physically, and emotionally we are very close to each other."
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Lisa spoke out about how Gregg makes 'rude jokes' on the set of Masterchef, which she took part in during 2010's Celebrity Masterchef series. While promoting their new cookbook, 'John and Lisa's Kitchen', at the Cheltenham Literature Festival this year, Lisa said "I'm probably not allowed to say this. Gregg just told rude joke after rude joke to the crew. You're just sitting there, and if you're on the front bench just chopping away thinking, 'I've got ten minutes left', and he's saying, 'So this girl walked into a bar... And I'm going, 'Please, I don't want to hear this joke'".
Since then, it has been confirmed that allegations against Gregg are being investigated, with the presenter strongly denying the claims.
