Fulton plant sale to benefit beautification of Windmill Area

Apr. 17—FULTON, Ill. — It's time to check your landscaping and gardens as to what needs to be upgraded, and the annual Fulton Plant Sale is coming up soon to help. Mark your calendar for 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 11, at Cattail Park, Fulton. This community event is sponsored by the Friends of the Fulton Windmill with all proceeds to benefit the beautification of the Windmill Area.

There is always a nice selection; but come early for top choices. Most plants are priced at $2 and up. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions concerning planting tips and recommended plant care.

The sale operates solely on donated specimens from area gardens. If you have plants you no longer want or need to split, dig them up and bring them to Cattail Park (follow 8th Avenue out of town toward the golf course) on Friday, May 10, from 1-5 p.m. Gardeners will be there to re-package your donations for sale the following day.

If you have questions as to digging and splitting plants, contact Jude at 563-249-6115.
