I followed the instructions on the packaging exactly, and if there were two preparation methods, I used the first or preferred. I took notes on the texture of the grains, how soupy or dry the sauce was, the flavor, and the ingredients.

I noticed that these rice dishes fit into two categories — ones with sauce, and ones with a glaze.
