Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaž Škorjanec announced he'd quit the BBC One show back in March 2022. But, despite it being his decision to leave the show and wanting to pursue other projects, the dancer has admitted that he would love to return one day — although maybe in a different capacity to before.

Appearing on Wednesday's (March 22) Lorraine alongside his wife Janette Manrara, Aljaž teased that he could potentially make a comeback to the series "one day".

"There's so many spots on that show, there's dancers, there's judges, there's hosts, so you never know," he teased.

Lorraine Kelly exclaimed that she could especially see him as a judge, and they both agreed that it's something they'd like to see.

While it's all speculation and wishful thinking at the moment, Aljaž is taking on a new role soon: becoming a dad for the first time.

He and Janette announced last month that they are expecting their first baby together. After trying multiple times and considering IVF treatment, Janette fell pregnant.

The happy couple also marked another big milestone together just last week: presenting BBC's Morning Live together for the first time.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
