"You are a force" - Rumer Willis’ tribute to mum Demi Moore as all her daughters join her on the red carpet
Demi Moore may not have taken home the Oscar this weekend, but in her daughters’ eyes, she’s already won.
The actress was joined by her three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, turning the night into a special mother-daughter moment.
Ahead of the big night, Rumer Willis posted a touching Instagram tribute to her mom, calling her a “force” and celebrating her decades of hard work.
Rumer posted a gallery of pictures of Demi throughout the decades including shots from some of her most famous movies including A Few Good Men, Ghost, G.I. Jane and The Substance. Alongside the slideshow, she wrote: "My mama. My hero. My forever winner. @demimoore."
“Watching you today, standing in your power, in your brilliance, in the culmination of decades of hard work, resilience, and undeniable talent—I have never been more proud,” she wrote.
She added,"You have dedicated your life to your craft, pouring every ounce of yourself into the stories you tell, the characters you bring to life, and the barriers you continue to break. And tonight, the world gets to witness what I have always known: you are a force.
“You have never taken the easy road. You have pushed boundaries, defied expectations, and time and time again, paved the way for so many women to step into their power.
"No matter what happens tonight, you are already victorious in my eyes. Because your legacy isn’t just in the awards or accolades—it’s in the way you have redefined what’s possible, for yourself and for every woman who dares to dream."
While Moore had a successful awards season for her role in The Substance, winning a SAG Award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role as well as a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, she ultimately lost the Best Actress Academy Award to Mikey Madison for Anora.
For the Oscars, she wowed in crystal-embellished design gown by Giorgio Armani Privé, channeling classic Hollywood glamour. By the time she hit the Vanity Fair party, she had switched things up with a shimmering gold dress, while her daughters each brought their own brand of chic to the red carpet.
Earlier in the evening, Demi also shared a moving moment with Meg Ryan.The two iconic actors have decades of experience in the industry between them, and appeared to be close supporters of one another as they were captured sharing a sweet embrace during the Oscars, in an unexpected behind-the-scenes moment.
