Florence Pugh's daring, silver bustier dress is all kinds of sci-fi
By now, we all know that the red carpet belongs to Florence Pugh. After all, this is the same woman who takes her grandmother as her date to major events and even debuted a buzz cut when arriving at the Met Gala last year – basically winning the evening before the event had even really begun!
Her courageous fashion sense is literally rewriting the rulebook. A style renegade, she'll frequently take a one-time fashion faux-pas and show why, for 2024, it's oh-so right! Whether it's freeing the nipple in Valentino or twinning with the likes of Zendaya and Kylie Jenner, we all need to be a little Flo when it comes to our wardrobe.
And her latest look is no exception! Rocking up to the BAFTAs 2024, Florence looked stunning in a custom Harris Reed dress made from dramatic black velvet and featuring a plunging metallic bustier corset. The best part of the dress? It was sustainable – made from dead stock fabric!
The gown's hem swept the floor but featured major slits at the back, revealing a pair of strappy, high heels. Flo accessorised the look with a matching velvet shawl and a dangling, diamond Boucheron necklace.
This futuristic look from Florence appears to be part of a new trend for sci-fi fashion, one which has seen Zendaya dress up as a cyborg in vintage Mugler armour and Maya Jama rock a metallic bustier.
With Dune: Part Two set to hit our screens later this year, we're sure the futuristic fashion won't be stopping any time soon!
