On Saturday, the Little Women actress to share a series of photos of herself sporting a sheer, hot pink jumpsuit over a pale pink bikini. She accessorized the look with a flower crown — which horror fans will recognize as a look that her character Dani sported first in the 2019 film Midsommar.
Pugh indeed was nodding to the Ari Aster film, which follows a group of 20-something Americans to a Swedish midsommar festival — where . She captioned the post, “Grab your friend, grab a field, frolic in pink and sing stupid silliness. And also put a s**tload of flowers in your hair like Dani did.”
Fans loved the look. One commented, “QUEEN OF SUMMER,” while another added, “Yaaas, May queen” — a reference to Dani winning the title at the end of the movie.
Pugh may be reliving her Midsommar days in her latest Instagram post, but she’s looking towards the future with a new project that also features a woman in peril. She is next starring in director Olivia Wilde’s thriller Don’t Worry Darling, in which she plays a housewife who starts to suspect that her idealistic community is hiding some serious secrets. Harry Styles also stars as her husband.
The Black Widow star recently — with nothing underneath. The English actress, who wore the sheer Valentino gown at the brand’s fashion show in Rome in July, wrote on Instagram that she received body-shaming comments on photos of her wearing the outfit, sharing that it “won’t be the last time a woman will hear what’s wrong with her body by a crowd of strangers.”
